The difference beween a wine and an excellent wine lies in three basic elements: soil, climate and vinestock.
However, it is always possible to go further when defining the characteristics that make a product really special..
Since a great wine is determined from the outset by its stock and the soil in which the vineyard has been planted, the skill of the wine-maker in combining each element in the best possible way is what gives the finished product its own character and personality..
By choosing the three main varietals from the most representative valleys for their production, we discover a unique "terroir" line of wines, that combine the best vinestocks with the best soil, VITIS TERRA - vinestock and soil, achieving an exceptional result that places these wines as the best in their class. |

The grapes come from the first vineyard
planted in the famous Casablanca Valley, recognized internationally
for its ideal growing conditions for this variety, due
to its closeness to the sea, which considerably affects
the climate. With sandy soil and good drainage, irrigated
by well-water, it receives the influence of the sea with
typical cool mornings, often with mist and quite low temperatures,
which rise towards mid-day when the skies clear, letting
the sun come in to do its work..
This wine has been fermented and then aged in casks of
French Oak, used for the first and second time, for about
9 months. The resulting wine is very interesting, both
in fragrance and structure, with an attractive, pale golden-yellow
colour.
This is a gleaming wine, golden-yellow and olive in colour.
In the nose it offers aromas of tropical fruit with papayas
much in evidence. Its ageing in wood gives it an aromatic
scent of toasted vanilla. In the mouth it is easy to detect
the tropical fruit and the toasting of the wood. It is
a wine with great body and persistence, fresh and typically
very fruity, with a certain sensation of minerals and
syrup.
Ideal with strong-flavoured seafood and somewhat oily fish, such as a good smoked salmon, bonito or corvina, and white poultry meat. |

This is an intense, gleaming violet-red
wine. In the nose it offers aromas of toasted wood, vanilla,
barbaque, spices and tobacco leaves, together with dried
fruits, such as prunes and cherries. In the mouth it is
a great wine with plentiful intense flavours of candied
fruit and bitter chocolate. It has silky tannins leading
into an enjoyable finish.
The fruit from the Syrah vine comes from the Pataguita vineyard, situated in the Maipo Valley, very close to the city of Santiago. There is a predominance of gravel and laterite soils in most of the best vineyards, with some sandy loam soils in other areas. A wide variety of strategies and techniques are used in canopy management, such as positioning the shoots vertically, all with the aim of maximizing the amount of sunlight in the area where the fruit is ripening..
Irrigation is applied wisely to maintain the balanced growth of the vine and achieve a constant ripening rhythm.
The fruit is harvested by hand to ensure its arrival at the winery in optimum condition. It is then stemmed and crushed, leaving a high proportion of grapes intact to give the wine a fruitier flavour. Before fermentation the wine is macerated at a low temperature for 24 hours. Energetic extraction at the beginning is followed by a gentler action to conserve the fruit and give the wine more body.
Then the wine undergoes post-fermentation maceration for 28 days before being stored in French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation takes place. Once this is completed, the wine is kept and aged in the same barrels for 14 months.
